Mexico Adds New Plant And An AGT400
In coordination with Kentucky Steel Center, Aguascalientes Steel Coil Center in Mexico has opened its doors for hot rolled, cold rolled, galvanized and pickled steel on a 72” Sonada Slitter. Today, an AGT400 Isotope Thickness Gauge was shipped to complement this line. This will be the company’s fourth AGT400 system.

An AGT400 was shipped to Ferrous Metal Processing in Brooklyn, Ohio to upgrade a 1994 Gamma Ray 200 located on their 72” Stamco Slitter.
Chicago Says Hello To New AGT400
Heidtman Steel has purchased an AGT400 Isotope Thickness Gauge for the 78” Alcos slitter at their East Chicago location. This is in addition to the AGT400 in use at their plants in Butler, Indiana; Cleveland, Ohio; Erie, Michigan and Granite City, Illinois.
Starting 2014 In Canada
Our Senior Field Engineer, John Fearing, traveled to Canada over The New Year’s Holiday at the customer’s request to start up a brand new AGT400 Isotope Thickness Gauge at Taylor Steel in Ontario. This system replaced an obsolete Harshaw brand thickness gauge from the eighties. It was installed on their 72” Herr-Voss slitter and it’s Taylor’s third AGT400 purchase.
