Valmont Industries (Valmont, Nebraska) accepts delivery of a new AGT400. This is Valmont’s first thickness gauge and is located on a 79” Herr-Voss Slitter.
Mexico Starts Up AGT400
Senior Field Service Engineer, John Fearing, started up an AGT400 at Aguascalientes Steel Coil Center. This isotope thickness gauge, located on a 72” Sonada Slitter, will measure Hot Rolled, Cold Rolled, Galvanized and Pickled Steel with a thickness range of 0.4 to 6.0 mm. Aguascalientes is a sister company of Kentucky Steel Center, which already has three other AGT400 thickness gauges.
National Orders A Thickness Gauge
In Chicago, National Processing Company experienced a fire, but that did not stop them from upgrading an obsolete Gamma 200 to an AGT400 on a 72” Pro-Eco Pickle Line. Fortunately, no one was injured during the mishap.
Ohio Company Starts Up An AGT400
John Fearing performed a startup at Ferrous Metal Processing (Brooklyn, Ohio) on an AGT400 upgrade of a GR200 thickness gauge located on their 72” Stamco Slitter.
Mexico Adds New Plant And An AGT400
In coordination with Kentucky Steel Center, Aguascalientes Steel Coil Center in Mexico has opened its doors for hot rolled, cold rolled, galvanized and pickled steel on a 72” Sonada Slitter. Today, an AGT400 Isotope Thickness Gauge was shipped to complement this line. This will be the company’s fourth AGT400 system.
