Advanced Gauging Technologies recently completed the startup of an AGT400 upgrade to replace an outdated GR100 thickness gauge at National Galvanizing in Monroe, Michigan. This gauge is installed on a 60″ Pro-Eco Slitter and will measure material up to .250″ thick. The Monroe plant processes various steel alloys and has the ability to pickle, galvanize, galvanneal, and slit coils all in the same facility. Thanks to this AGT400 isotope thickness gauge upgrade, National Galvanizing can be assured they will receive reliable and accurate thickness measurements.
National Galvanizing Order New AGT800
Advanced Gauging Technologies has received a purchase order from National Galvanizing in Monroe, Michigan for a new AGT800 laser thickness gauge. This system will be used on a 72″ Pro-Eco pickle line to measure galvanized and various steel alloys up to .500″ thick. This is National Galvanizing’s second gauge purchase this year and delivery is scheduled for July of 2018. An AGT400 upgrade of an obsolete gamma GR100 gauge was shipped to National Galvanizing earlier this month for use on a 60″ Pro-Eco Slitting line.
AGT400 Ships To Midwest Tube Mills
A new AGT400 thickness gauge has been shipped to Midwest Tube Mills, Inc in Madison, Indiana. The gauging system will be used on their 60” Braner slitter and measure carbon steel up to .160” thick.
Two AGT400s Installed
Greenpoint Metals in Franklin, Ohio is now home to two new AGT400 isotope thickness gauges. The gauges are installed on 72” Pro-Eco and Stamco slitters and measure various steel alloys with a thickness range of .014 to .250”. They replaced obsolete Global x-ray gauges.
Another AGT400 Thickness Gauge Ships To Voss
A second AGT400 has been shipped to Voss in Taylor, Michigan. This isotope thickness gauge will be installed on a 72” pickle line and measure the thickness of various steel alloys up to .250”.
