Steel Dynamics Orders Three New AGT400’s!

Advanced Gauging Technologies, L.L.C. has received an order for three new AGT400 Isotope Thickness Gauges from Steel Dynamics in Columbus, MS. These are to be used on their newest plant expansion which is set to begin operation in early 2020. These gauges will be used on a 72″ galvanizing line to measure various steel alloys from 0.010″ to 0.150″. A.G.T. has specialized in providing solutions for service centers all over the world and is now expanding those services as well. With an increasing catalog of new products to offer Advanced Gauging Technologies is excited to see where we can provide solutions next.

A.G.T. Completes Startup of New AGT400 Upgrade at Steel Tech in Portage, IN!

Advanced Gauging Technologies has just completed the startup of a new AGT400 upgrade to replace an outdated Global/5310 gauge at Steel Technologies in Portage, Indiana. This gauge was installed on a 60″ Braner slitting line and will measure various steel alloys up to .250″ thick. By replacing their old gauge, Steel Technologies will be able to reduce downtime, improve efficiency and provide the most accurate and reliable thickness measurement available.

Jemison Metals Orders a New AGT400!

Advanced Gauging Technologies has received a purchase order from Jemison Metals in Madison Heights, Virginia for new AGT400 Isotope Thickness Gauge. This system will be used on a 72″ Herr-Voss Stamco C-T-L Stretch Leveler to measure various steel and aluminum alloys. This will be Jemison Metal’s 9th gauge they have ordered from A.G.T. and we’re happy to be continuing our relationship with such a reputable and successful company.

As Advanced Gauging Technologies continues to grow and evolve we realize just how capable every one of our employees are. Their skill sets can serve many functions and as such we want everyone here to have the opportunity to grow alongside the company. One of our Service Technicians, Kevin Gee will be transitioning into a dual role of both service and sales as a Technical Sales Specialist. Kevin loves to travel the country which is excellent for servicing out customers we have nationwide. Now he will also be reaching out to new companies during his travels to help A.G.T. to provide customers with the best non-contact thickness measurement gauges on the market.
