A new AGT400 has been installed at Esmark Steel’s University Park (Chicago) facility. IT is an upgrade to an obsolete BSK thickness gauge located on a 72” Braner Slitter and will be used to measure various steel alloys with a maximum thickness of .250”. This is Esmark’s fifth AGT400 thickness gauge.
Charter Steel Upgrades To AGT400
Charter Steel is adding an AGT400 upgrade an obsolete GR200 thickness gauge. It will measure the thickness of various steel alloys on their 72” Braner Slitter.
Heidtman Adds Eighth Gauge
An AGT400 was shipped to Heidtman Steel Products in Butler, Indiana. This isotope gauge will upgrade an obsolete GR200. The AGT400 will be installed on a temper mill and will measure steel with a thickness up to .250”. This will be Heidtman’s eighth AGT400 thickness gauge & S.P.C. reporting system.
Mill Steel Is Operating Two More AGT400s
Two additional AGT400 thickness gauges have been installed at Mill Steel’s Grand Rapids plant. Both gauges are upgrades to obsolete Weston and ESC brand thickness gauges and are on slitting lines to measure the thickness of various steel alloys.
