An AGT400 has been shipped to Metals USA in Madison, Illinois. The AGT400 will upgrade their obsolete 1996 model GR200, and be used to measure the thickness on various steel alloys on their 72” Alcos slitter. This is the third Metals USA facility to switch over to Advanced Gauging for their thickness gauging requirements.
Two AGT400 Isotope Thickness Gauges Installed
Advanced Gauging Technologies has successfully completed the commissioning of two more AGT400s at USS-Posco Industries (Pittsburg, California). Both gauges were installed on a pickle line tandem cold mill (PLTCM) and are measuring steel with a thickness range of .030 to .200”. These gauges replaced obsolete Weston 3000 thickness measurement systems.
