Mill Steel – Grand Rapids, Michigan placed an order for two AGT400 isotope thickness gauge upgrades. These upgrades will replace Weston 5310 gauges built in the eighties. Both gauges will be installed on slitting lines and measure various steel alloys.
Steel Technologies Mexico Orders 3rd AGT400
A.G.T. has received an order from Steel Technologies de Mexico, S.A. de C.V. (Pesqueria, N.L.) for a new AGT400 Thickness Gauge. This system will be installed on a new Andritz Herr-Voss 74” Multi-Blanking Line and will process various steel alloys with a thickness range of .010” to .150”.
This will be Steel Technologies 32nd Advanced Gauging thickness gauge overall and the third AGT400 for the Pesqueria facility.
Steel Technologies Adds 31st A.G.T. Gauge
Steel Technologies – Mishawaka, Indiana has added an AGT400 to their operations. The gauge was installed on a slitting line and will measure steel with a thickness up to .200”. This will be Steel Technologies 31st A.G.T. thickness gauge & S.P.C. reporting system.
Grand Steel Products AGT400 Commissioned
John Fearing, our Senior Field Technician, has completed the startup of an AGT400 at Grand Steel Products located in Wixom, MI. This gauge, located on a 72” Loopco Slitter, will be used to measure various steel alloys with a thickness range of .010 to .195”. It is Grand Steel’s first AGT400.
Heidtman Upgrades Another Gauge
Heidtman Steel Products in Butler, Indiana has purchased another AGT400. This upgrade of a GR200 will be installed on a temper mill and will measure steel with a thickness up to .250”. This will be Heidtman’s eighth AGT400 thickness gauge & S.P.C. reporting system.
