Field Service Engineer, Craig Walkup, just completed a two week service trip for our Mexican customers. A.G.T. supports customers in Mexico on a semi-annul basis during the months of April and October. We also have a sales representative, Daniel Bortoni (Maquina) who is always happy to help with any inquires about our thickness gauges or service.
Canada’s Second AGT800
Nova Steel in Stoney Creek, Ontario is a fan of Advanced Gauging’s latest gauging unit, the AGT800. This optical based gauging system uses state of the art Keyence laser sensors instead of a traditional isotope source for non-contact measurement of material as it is being processed. This gauge will be used on a 72” pickle line, and will be Nova Steel’s second laser thickness gauge purchase within the last year!
Farewell Sarah; Hello Amanda!
Most of our customers have had the pleasure of working with Sarah over the last few years, and unfortunately we are sad to announce that she and her family have relocated out of state. Amanda Massie has taken over Sarah’s position as Office Assistant. Amanda comes to A.G.T. with eight years of office experience, and we are excited to welcome her to our team.
Amanda studied High School Education and Biology while also playing women’s soccer at Urbana University. She continues to be active by playing slow pitch softball across the state. In fact, in 2014, her team was ranked third in Ohio. Always an avid sports fan, she enjoys cheering on Florida State, Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh Penguins, and the Cincinnati Reds.
Amanda is also a mother. She and her son, Blake, reside in South Vienna with their two dogs, Buddy and Baby, and hamster, Max. Much like mommy, Blake likes being active as well. He enjoys playing baseball, soccer and football, and of course, Amanda can be found in the stands rooting him on.
In her free time, Amanda enjoys reading, especially true crime and mysteries. She is also an adrenaline rush junkie, and takes interest in sky diving, para-sailing, bungee jumping and zip lining. If you are calling the office, chances are, Amanda will be taking care of you, or directing your call.
Cesium Cs-137 Sources Available
Advanced Gauging currently has three “like new” Cesium (Cs-137) sources for sale. These sources, originally manufactured by Berthold Technologies, came into our possession as a result of our participation in the recent Sparrows Point source disposal project. All three sources are Berthold Model No. 7440-D-CR. They are only 7 years old and were originally purchased as spares and never actually put into use. In fact, they still have the manufacturer’s seal along with their original locks and keys (see photos below). Please note that your company must be specifically licensed to possess these sources before you can purchase them. Contact A.G.T. at 614-873-6691 or Sales@AdvGauging.com for details.
