A new AGT400 has been shipped to The Universal Steel Company of Cleveland, Ohio. This thickness gauge will replace an outdated Loral 3500, and will measure steel and be installed on their 72” slitting line.
HEIDTMAN STEEL ORDERS NEW AGT400
Heidtman Steel has ordered a new AGT400 thickness gauge to upgrade an obsolete GR200 located at their Butler, IN plant. The upgrade will include all new electronics and A.G.T.’s proprietary thickness measurement and S.P.C. reporting software. This gauge, currently located on their BUS 1 60” Pro-Eco slitter, will be used to process steel with a thickness range of .050” to .250”. Shipment is scheduled for December 21, 2016.

Esmark Steel Group Continues To Upgrade
Esmark Steel Group in Chicago Heights is continuing their trend of updating obsolete equipment. Another AGT400 Isotope Thickness Gauge has been shipped to this location and will replace an older model gauge. Installation is scheduled for the first quarter of next year. This is the fifth gauge Esmark has upgraded this year.
Pole and Pipe Wall Thickness
Our revolutionary laser thickness measuring equipment has recently been installed at a pole and pipe manufacturing plant in eastern Ohio.
