Advanced Gauging Technologies has completed the startup of a new AGT800 laser thickness gauge at Olympic Steel in Detroit, Michigan. The AGT800 has a custom-built hanging C-frame designed for use on a 72″ Niagra Slitter. The gauge will be used to measure aluminum with a thickness range of .015″ to .130″ and will provide Olympic Steel the ability to continually meet the strict thickness tolerances required by their customers. This plant also has an AGT400 isotope thickness gauge located on a 72″ Pro-Eco Slitter. It can be seen upside down below.
A.G.T. Completes Startup of New AGT800 at National Galvanizing in Monroe, MI
Advanced Gauging Technologies has completed the startup of a new AGT800 at National Galvanizing in Monroe, Michigan. This gauge is installed on a 72″ Pro-Eco pickle line and will be used to measure galvanized and various steel alloys up to .500″ thick. Earlier this year National Galvanizing purchased an AGT400 upgrade to replace an obsolete GR100 gauge, so this will be the second A.G.T. gauge they have purchased this year!
Another Successful Gauge Startup at JMS Russel Metals
Advanced Gauging Technologies has successfully completed another gauge startup at JMS Russel Metals in Blytheville, Arkansas. Our AGT400 is replacing an outdated GR200 thickness gauge and is installed on a 64″ Stamco Slitter and will measure material up to .250″ thick. This Blytheville plant processes various steel alloys, and with our gauge upgrade JMS can count on the most accurate non-contact thickness measurement available.
McWane Ductile Orders New AGT800 Pipe and Pole System
McWane Ductile in Coshocton, Ohio has ordered a new AGT800 Pipe and Pole system. This is the second system they have ordered in the last two years. McWane Ductile Produces cast iron pipe and pole up to 18 feet long. This is a unique application that uses two opposing C-frames to oscillate in and out of opposite sides of the pipe being inspected. Our system will be installed after a pipe and pole cast line and used to accurately measure wall thickness. A.G.T. understands no two customers are the same, and because of that we have put a focus on being able to provide custom solutions for applications such as this.
Jackson, Michigan Company Places an Order for a New AGT1000
Advanced Gauging Technologies has received a purchase order for a new AGT1000 from a Jackson, Michigan company. This system will be installed on a vinyl extrusion line to measure material thickness, material width and embossing depth.
