Advanced Gauging Technologies has shipped a new AGT400 upgrade to Samuel Doral Steel in Toledo, Ohio. This gauge will be installed on an 80” Paxton slitter and will measure various steel alloys up to .250” thick. By replacing their GR100 gauge, Samuel Doral will be able to reduce downtime, improve efficiency and provide the most accurate and reliable thickness measurement available.

In September 1998, Scott Cook, our co-founder, completed the startup of one of the first AGT400’s for City Steel Processing in Detroit, Michigan. This gauge provided many years of faithful service up until this plant eventually closed. Our gauges are built to last and our service is second to none. In August 1998, Ron Cook, our co-founder, completed the startup of the first AGT400 for Seymour Tubing in Seymour, Indiana. Twenty years later this gauge is still fully operational and providing the same precise non-contact thickness measurements as the day it was installed. A.G.T. still provides regular service at this location and we take great pride in knowing our first gauge is still performing as designed after two decades plus of faithful service.
Fulton County Processing Purchases New AGT800 from A.G.T.!
Advanced Gauging Technologies has received a purchase order for a new AGT800 Laser Thickness Gauge from Fulton County Processing in Delta, Ohio. This system will be used on a 72″ Alcos slitting line to measure carbon steel from 0.049 to 0.500″. Fulton County currently operates five A.G.T. gauges they have purchased from us. They are running three AGT400’s on various slitting lines and an AGT800 on a Nelson pickle line. The addition of a second AGT800 will continue to ensure they are receiving the most accurate non-contact thickness measurement available.
