ELE-EME Company Profile!
We are excited to announce our partnership with ELE-EME, S.A. de C.V., located near Mexico City, to be our representative for the AGT400 system in all of Mexico. ELE-EME was formed in 1980 by Roberto Juárez with the purpose of providing preventative and corrective maintenance on various brands of equipment, such as gauging meters, temperature controls, pressure controls, and several other electronic products.
In 1985, ELE-EME began helping their customers fulfill any requirements related to the use of radioactive material. This included developing the necessary documents that each customer needed in order to gain the required permits from the Mexican government. This eventually led to the performance of the semi-annual service and leak tests on Gamma and Beta isotope sources.
In 1990, ELE-EME received their certification to transport radioactive materials. This coincided with an agreement with a thickness gauging company located in Europe to sell, install and repair their equipment in Mexico. This agreement remained in place until the gauging company went out of business several years ago.
In 1996, ELE-EME received their certification to train individuals to work with ionizing radiation up to the radiation safety officer level. It was around this time that ELE-EME began working almost exclusively with the radiation side of their business.
They offer their customers a complete solution to their radioactive requirements including documentation, permits, importation, transportation, and disposal. This has been the mainstay of their business for the last few years, and they have been very successful.
Like, A.G.T., ELE-EME is a family owned, small business. In this issue of The Gauging Times™, we will highlight each member of their team, and at the same time, welcome them to ours.
Roberto Juárez Ruiz received his Electrical Engineering degree from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional in 1973. After working for several companies servicing and commissioning equipment, Roberto started his own company (ELE-EME) in 1980 and has worked there ever since. In those 30 years, he has grown the company into the success it is today.

In addition to Roberto, ELE-EME has several other team members whom we will highlight here.

Gaby enjoys belly dancing, playing flag football, and traveling.
Roberto Juárez Maceda received his Industrial Engineering degree in 2006 from Tecnológico de Monterrey, where he studied on a scholarship playing football. He has worked for ELE-EME for many years (since high school), and is now in charge of the licensing and permits for the import of radioactive materials.
Samuel Juárez Maceda is currently in charge of the transportation of radioactive materials. He also studied at Tecnológico de Monterrey on a scholarship playing football before obtaining his Administration degree at the Universidad del Valle de México.

We look forward to working with everyone at ELE-EME going forward and are excited that we now have a presence in Mexico to help us better provide for our customers.
