Personal Profiles
As many of our customers have known for years, we at A.G.T. are always looking for ways to improve our top-of-the-line thickness gauge. Our interface and software are what make our gauge the best in the market. To that end, we are consistently upgrading our AGT400 software, and we don’t just trust that duty to anybody. A.G.T. is proud to introduce the newest editions to our software development team, Ed Helwig and Daryl Ward!
Ed, born in Stuttgart, Germany, is currently a consulting engineer to Honda R&D, located in Marysville, Ohio. He graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Computer Information Systems. Ed then went on to serve 22 years in the U.S. Army where he was a Chief Warrant Officer, and among other things, a UH-60 Blackhawk Instructor Pilot.
Ed has obtained certifications as an IBM Linux Specialist and a Redhat Linux Developer, as well as a consulting programmer to the animation movie industry. Ed currently resides in Westerville, Ohio, and with wife Michelle (Cook) are expecting their first child in August. Ed’s hobbies include, you guessed it, computers.
Daryl, born and raised in central Ohio, is a 1978 graduate of The Ohio State University where he earned his degree in Computer Science from the college of Business Administration. After college Daryl went to work in the health insurance industry where he advanced through the ranks from programmer to analyst to project leader and finally into management.
Daryl has worked on a wide array of computers from PC’s to mainframes and achieved the PMP designation from the Project Management Institute in 2002. Daryl currently lives in Reynoldsburg, Ohio with his wife and two teenage daughters. His hobbies include membership in the National Ski Patrol, winter camping (no bugs), scuba diving, and coaching volleyball.

Leak Tests Service Spare Parts
A.G.T. Field Service Engineers are licensed to perform semi-annual inspections and source wipes (leak tests) on all makes and models of isotope thickness gauges. Many of our customers have replaced older obsolete thickness gagues with our AGT400 Thickness Measurement and S.P.C. Reproting System. When this happens, we recycle any old parts that still have some life left in them. Over the last few years, we have been able to amass the largest spare parts inventory in the industry. If we don’t have it, odds are, noone does. You’ll save time and money if you contact us first when you need parts and/or service on your isotope gauge.
We are currently performing full service on the following makes and models of gauges:
Advanced Gauging | AGT400 |
D.M.C. | 410TAC and 450TAC |
GammaRay | GR100, GR200 and GR2000 |
Loral | 3500 |
Measurex | MDX-350 |
Radiometrie | RM206 |
Weston | 5310 |
